Customer Advisory: Update on Potential Nationwide Port Workers Strike in India

We wanted to provide you with an update on the situation regarding potential port worker strikes in India. No agreement was reached during the meeting between the Ministry of Shipping and port workers’ unions on August 24, 2024.
Another meeting is scheduled for August 27, 2024 to continue discussions on the workers’ demands in hopes of reaching a solution. However, if an agreement cannot be reached, the workers have indicated they will begin an indefinite strike starting at 6:00 AM on August 28, 2024.
